On Harlan's 16th birthday, his mom and stepfather died in a car accident. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, he began living with his stepfather's daughter, Eva. Eva was just 22 and became his guardian. As they lived under the same roof, Harlan gradually realized his feelings for Eva at 18. However, before anything could happen, Eva kicked Harlan out of the house. Six years later, the two met again. By this time, Harlan had become a popular star, while Eva was running a coffee shop.
